Madonna's new song "4 Minutes" isn't "reinventing" (as some of her fans will say) anything. It's just tapping into the "club/bad hip hop genre phase" the music industry is so interested in these days. At first listen, I thought it was more of Justin's song than Madonna's. Madonna's vocals are so soft compared to Justin's louder and stronger voice. It doesn't really work out. I do admit that the song is more bearable after a couple of listens. And no matter how much I think this song is horrible, it will still be a big club hit.
LOVE IT! March 29, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This song is so dam HOT and very catchy! I can't stop singing "Ma.Don.na" and it's really blowin' up the radio here in Salt Lake City! I'm not usally a Madonna fan but I LOVE THIS and I will for sure be buying her new CD! You have to download this!!!
What was she thinking? March 28, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
This song is one of the worst by Madonna I have ever heard! Althought I like Madonna, I'm sorry to say this is not one of her best. I can't believe this is one of top music downloads on Amazon. Are you kidding me? I don't know who would buy this. This sure doesn't sound like the Madonna we come to love over the years.
tick tock tick tock March 28, 2008 14 out of 20 found this review helpful
Madonna's fascination with time...tick tock, waiting and hesitating (words that frequently appear in her lyrics). New single featureing Justin Timberlake is a slice of urgent urban pop with Timberland's signature big horns and beatbox and Timberlake's Michael-Jacksonish falsetto singing "We've got only 4 Minutes to save the World." This isn't the first time the pop dame has dabbled in hip hop (back to 1990's Justify My Love remixes) but this has all the ingredients of a smash for the new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. And it's addictive, all that tick-tocking. Look out for her new album with the scintillating title Hard Candy.
Check out the brand new video of 4 Minutes and you'll see why Madonna and JT are so hot!
