Our Car Club loves these December 9, 2002 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I saw this awhile back on Amazon and had to buy it. I also recommended it to my car club on ClubRSX.com. We all bought them up to the point where it was out of stock on Amazon for a few weeks. We had a car meet where we needed these tools to work on our cars to modify them and they worked well. For $ bux, can't go wrong and it's all in one box. Handy and quick. Granted we're not rebuilding engines or some "heavy duty" work, but we were doing some moderate modifications like putting in new gaskets, cold air intakes, new head units, etc. These worked really well. Some of the sockets fall out easily, but that's ok. You get that with most socket sets except for the most expensive Craftsman ones (you get what you paid for). I later saw these in Pep Boys for $, so my car club is quite glad we snatched these up cheap. For $, how can you go wrong?
Cheap Tools December 6, 2002 11 out of 20 found this review helpful
This product is only suitable for some one who is going to use it around the home. It consist of poorly made tools of inferior quality that will not stand every day use.
Important tools December 1, 2002 These tools suits some person who is not a mechanic...they are very strong tools...being a woman I am able to manage them quick well..not big and difficult to use...these tools are can be use around the home...especially to help remove a screw on the lawn mower and the weed trimmer.....
It comes with a rubber mallet! November 19, 2002 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Besides the fact that several of the sockets and other tools manage to easily work themselves free from their holders, this tool set is a definite must for its value. Perfect for casual car/home maintenance. This is not a heavy duty auto repair kit, but I know it will come in handy.
Servicable set of tools at a great price November 1, 2002 36 out of 37 found this review helpful
Let's not beat around the bush: This is a set of cheap tools. These are not the tools your mechanic uses. These are not even the tools you would use regularly if you work on your own car (or house). However, as a set of convenience tools--that is, tools you have stashed away somewhere for quick access when you are too rushed or lazy to dig out the good ones--this set can't be bettered at the price. This is NOT a tool set for heavy use. But it's perfect as an emergency set in your trunk, or a second set around the house, or a starter set for your kids...This tool set features a nice assortment of tools, from wrenchs to screwdrivers to pliers to sockets and more. 131 pieces for about the price you'd pay for a single high quality set of pliers at Sears or from SnapOn or Mack. That tells you something inescapable about the quality, but there are times when it's OK to skimp on quality... David
