I am satisfied with the XANTREX, I used it and it worked great.
I didn't give it 5 stars because I am not sure how accurate is it's battery low - warning system. I had only one laptop, with an external hard drive connected and at times it started beepingm, even if I was driving. I had to turn it off, run on battery for a while, then start it again.

Been using this converter for close to 2 years now. I've used it for powering my laptop charger and cell phone charger with no problems. It's small and can be stored under the car seat. Excellent value!

used this to power my laptop on an 11 hour ride, This unit and my pickup extended the reach of my leaf blower past the extention cord...

This inverters is exactly what we were looking for. It has plenty of power (we were running a couple of laptop, phone charges, and ipods simultaneously on our last road trip), is very straight forward to use, and even gives you the option to hook it up to the battery directly should you ever want to use it outside the car. I haven't had it long enough to give an sort of review on reliability, but it certainly seems solid.

it does everything that I needed to to do. I might have went a little overboard getting 400w, but with the price and the great reviews I couldn't pass this up. It is powering an IBM R40 and a D-Link 7port USB hub whenever the car is turned on.
