It does what it is supposed to do January 3, 2007 Great tool. Plug it in, get the codes and look them up on the internet.
really love this product January 2, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have only used this scanner once (so far) but really like it for its size and only two button. This time it was an oxygen sensor. So it doesn't tell me what the code means but I already have a repair manual for my car that has a list of what the codes are. I really love the fact that it doesn't take batteries so the don't have to be replaced but also don't end up sitting there in the unit and leaking when they go bad. I can really recommend this product for someone who wants to save themselves a some money and do it themselves or to keep their mechanic honest.
Great diagnostic tool December 16, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Have a Merc Mountaineer that showed a "check engine" light. Ever price having the dealer check out the computer? Here, it would be $85 just to check the code. With this unit, I found the issue quickly and was able to fix it myself.
Very nice unit, and inexpensive.
Well Worth the Money November 25, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The CP9125 makes minor repairs much easier. Finding and clearing the trouble code can be had for free, but its nice to have this option without going somewhere to get it. A necessary tool for the home auto mechanic.
Great little unit for reading DTCs November 22, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
It isn't fancy, but this little $55 reader will tell you what you need to know. It reads the DTCs if your car throws a CEL/MIL and then clears the light for free. All in the convenience of your garage. If nothing else, it prevents you from getting a call from your significant other that they couldn't bear to look at the CEL, so they went to the dealer and, $400 later, the muffler bearings are all back in spec. Great little tool.
