RIDE OUT THE STORM WITH BLACK AND DECKER March 29, 2007 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
This little machine is amazing! With the hurricane season coming up in 3 months, I can rest easier knowing that I have a source of power and a radio to keep me informed. The flashlight and lantern features are awesome. If you don't already have a Storm Station, go out and buy one. You'll be glad you did.

We lose power in every major storm, and use this frequently. I works exactly as promised.
Exceptional quality at a great price March 18, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Highly impressed with the multiple features (i.e., emergency lighting, rechargable flashlight, 12VDC and 125VAC outlets, and multi-band radio). The signal quality for all five radio bands are exceptional and very clear. The research in locating a product such as this was well worth it. The manufacturer design in enhancing the safety, reliability, workmanship, and multi-functional capabilities and features of this product were well thought out.
Black & Decker Storm Station is A-OK! March 9, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After reading all the negative reviews of the Black & Decker "Storm Station" by the world famous electronic guru's here at Amazon.com., I was fully prepared to dislike this thing as soon as I wrestled it from its tightly packed box.
In fact, I was prepared to hate it, prepared to dash it against a concrete floor when it failed and prepared to ship it back in pieces, loosely wrapped in a "Wally-World" plastic bag.
But you know what? The Black & Decker Storm Station worked! I charged it up for the obligatory time period and the lights worked, the radio worked, including the weather channel, and I actually charged my electric shaver. (Note to self: May not be a good idea to tell wifey-poo that the Storm Station has that function.)
I must admit that I possibly received the special edition Storm Station, as I cannot receive radio stations that play combination opera & country western rap.
All kidding aside, you really need to read what the text states the Storm Station will actually do. If you do that, you'll discover as I did, that it does exactly what it says. No more and no less.

Black & Decker Storm Station March 9, 2007 We already had a storm station and used it during a recent blackout. It worked great, giving sufficient light in the family room and enabling the charging of a cell phone. As a result, we decided to get a second one for ourselves for the upstairs. We also had previously given one as a gift to our daughter for her apartment.
