This unit is perfect for 12 volt devices where power is not available. Capacity seems very good for such a small booster. The LED light isn't too bright, but will last for weeks on one charge. I havent tried jumping a vehicle with this, that was not what i was looking for, but the quality seems good and it suits my purpose.

I have used this and it works fine. It is compact and easy to use. However, the cord has a tag on it that says something like "this product is known to cause birth defects, wash hands after handling." So that makes me feel uneasy about even touching it.

I was very skeptical after reading some of the reviews about this product not working, however after getting this for $[...] during a lightening deal I figured what the heck if it wasn't able to jump start my car I could at least use it as an emergency light if need be for the price (Has a small light that can be used in an emergency) Well one weekend while visiting a newly acquainted "female friend" and during an extremely cold night I decided to secretly leave a little early on Sunday morning (Simply because I really have trouble not sleeping in my own bed). When I got to my Ford Explorer I noticed I had left the light on in the car (Very faintly lit).....uhhh...ohhhhh......when I went to start the truck all I got was a series of clicking noises...........Ohhh man the battery was dead !!!! (Now keep in mind when I left, the woman I was with was still sleeping and I shut a "LOCKED" backdoor behind me) Thinking to myself at 4:00am in the morning how would I possible be able to find someone to give me a jump.....not to mention I REALLY didn't want to wake the woman I was with for obvious reasons! Then I remembered I had this B&D jump starter in the back of the truck..........I said a few prayers and connected it to my cigarette outlet......within about 3 minutes a few of the accessory lights started to come on (Radio, thermostat....etc.) At this point I started thinking I might just get out of this in one piece........SURE Enough the truck started right up!!!!! Whewwwww!
I love this thing...Its small......easily stored.....and best of all WORKS!!!!! I highly recommend everyone having one in their car.......it can really save you a lot of time and money!!!!

I received the booster with instructions to charge it for 18 hours, so plugged the charger in. Fifteen minutes later it began sqealing, and the charge light started pulsing. It would not put out any current, so shipped it back to Amazon.

Charged the booster per instructions. When trying to start a car that would not crank battery booster would just beep continuously and indicate car was ready to start after 1 second. Car would not start. Yes, I tried putting the key in ACC like the instructions said... It seemed to think it was ready. Unit might be defective. B&D not the brand it used to be... Oh yea, the car started with booster cables.
