 Not to be used for field recordings November 2, 2008
As a journalist who depends on good and handy recording equipment I was looking for something new. So far I relied on MD recorders. I got the Zoom H2, because I read a lot of great reviews about it...It is a good recorder, but not a good recorder for field recordings. The plastic made me cringe, when I saw it....this recorder is fine for sit down interviews, but not if you're outside, trying to catch sounds in different situations and weather conditions....

I am a new songwriter and I needed a way to record my songs to give to my recording producer. This wonderful piece of equipment was just what I was looking for!! It was so easy to use and I had no trouble understanding the basics from the instruction manual. I even burned a song on a cd using my computer!!!! Thank you so much!

The H2 is an extremely useful little machine, both for helping musicians practice and get feedback and for shooting recordings around the Internet. The sound quality is surprisingly good.
