havent used it much but it seems to record fine, someone recommended it so it should be good
Excellent Product October 13, 2008 The Zoom H2 is an excellent overall product. It does what it's supposed to do very well. I use it to record my daughter's church choir practices along with my own choir practice as well. I love the fact that I am able to record the entire hour long practices and then create aditional files of the important parts of the practices to be put on mp3 players. The manual is very well written and describes how to perform all the operations very well. The only slightly negative comment I have about the Zoom H2 is that I wish the fidelity of the sound was better; but for the price it is not bad at all.
Little in size, big on results October 10, 2008 Zoom H2 Handy Portable Stereo Recorder I was desperate to find a small, powerful recorder suitable for recording lectures in a huge room and with some trepidation I chose this digital recorder. It does an exemplary job!! Quality of voice is super and clear. It is so sensitive that I put it on a tripod and leave it alone. With a 2 GB card it never runs out of recording time. Easy to hook up to computer and burn a disc. Small enough to put in shirt pocket. A few cons. It is like a computer and took time to figure out how to set it up for my needs. The LCD screen is so small, that with my old eyes, I have to use a magnifying glass. But, I will not give it up!! Tshlok
all kinds of uses October 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We used this for piano practice, recording the lessons and then downloading it on MP3 players, so you can listen to it.
Learning lines for a play... you can put a break in wherever you want...easy to skip to the relevant section.
The first time it took some time to get used to the download protocol, but once you know what to do it is easy. Works with both Apple and PC and my children (11 and 10) can work it too.
It took me by surprise how light it was, but so far (almost 1 year) it is still working.
Does a very nice job! October 9, 2008 I've owned various digital recorders through the years to do field recording for our morning show but the H2 is probably the most versatile. And it does exactly what it claims it will do and gives you great audio to boot. After you get used to the quirky interface you can pretty much use this thing to record almost any thing. The built in mics are very well engineered and reproduce voice and music very well. And it connects to my Mac's without a hitch. And you can't beat the value for the price. Invest in a few extra rechargeable batteries and extra memory card or two for those extra long sessions.
The H2 comes with EVERYTHING you'll need including a cute little wind sock for use on those windy days.
