Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S)
This phone is fantanstic for my MajicJack computer system, I have one in my garage,sewing room dinning room & living room so you do not have to run to answer the phone.

Great Quality, No Useless Features November 8, 2008
I have been using this phone for some time, and liked it enough that I bought the same one for my parents. Calls are crystal clear, and menu functions are pretty intuitive -- certainly not any more difficult than using a cell phone. The DECT 6.0 technology is great, and well worth the price.
I can't speak to the answering machine, since we never use it. We use voicemail (Verizon), and it works perfectly with this phone.
The thing I like the best about this phone is that it has the features you want, but none of the stuff you only think you want. Color display? Talking Caller ID? Nope, not going to find it on here... but ask yourself, do you really *need* those things? I sure don't, and I'm glad to have a phone that has the features I need, and is functional and easy to use.
Panasonic's KX-TG103xS series of DECT 6.0 phones is a winner in my book!

The Panasonic system utilizes a base phone with 3 additional phones that do not require additional outlets.
Distributed throughout my 2 story house, the signal is clear, as well as outside. One of the most important things is that there has never been interference from other nearby neighbors.
The most important feature in this day of phone tree calling is the speakerphone option. It allows me to stay on hold without having to have the phone up to my ear. I do not utilize the intercom option so I cannot attest to that function.
The construction is solid and the phone is reliable. No external antenna helps with its construction. Battery life is excellent for a rechargeable but it is proprietary.
It has lasted for a year without any issues.
Caller ID function works well but if you save a phone number, there is no way to incorporate dialing the prefix (1). It allows you to redial numerous numbers without problems. Internal memory allows you to program frequently used numbers and entering phone numbers is intuitive although slightly cumbersome.
I have tried other phone brands that have not had as great a reliability.
For a solid construction cordless with a good battery life and no interference with nearby neighbors, this phone is worthy of consideration. I highly recommend it.

I bought this phone because I needed to upgrade in order to reduce conflict with baby monitors and wireless computing and extended range. The 6.0 series is great at call clarity and I like the large button size, but when it comes to range, this phone falls short.
In fact, the range is considerably less than my old Uniden and far less than my wireless computer modem. Nevermind the backyard, there are some places in my 1400 square foot home that my calls get dropped.
I also have more of a problem with the lack of a back lit keypad than I thought I would. Dialing in the dark is not a possibility.
All in all, I would recommend a different model unless you do not intend to use the phone more than 25 feet from the base.

I have had the product only for 2 weeks, I love the sound quality. No issues so far, my 2 year old dropped the hand set once and inspite of that I have had no issues with the product.
I am giving 4 stars because I need more time to evaluate the product.
