Great Product! June 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great grill! It is easy to set up, easy to use. It cooks hot and evenly. We gave our son one for Christmas, and he liked it so well that we ordered ourselves one.
Weber 22 1/2" Charcoal Grill - good and bad June 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received this grill from my wife for my birthday. I was telling her that when I was a kid growing up in my house, my Dad made the best grilled meats on charcoal compared to the gas grill we currently have. I always though that Weber made the best grills, and it is good, don't get me wrong. It assembled easy and has very good features that make clean up a snap. It grills great and on my first attempt, everything came out cooked perfect.
The bad part comes in during the assembly process. It did go together easy, as I said earlier. What I did notice during the assembly was that it seemed that Weber took some short cuts when designing this grill. First thing I noticed after I assembled the grill, is it is wobbly. What I mean by this is when you wheel it around, it wobbles and shakes. If you take the handle and shake it slightly, the whole grill wobbles around, as if it is not going to hold together very long. The other thing I noticed was the spot welds that Weber used seemed weak and too few. The points on the grill that need to be strong had very weak looking spot welds. I must say that this is just an impression at this point since it is new, and to truly see if it will last, will take some time. I will report back after 6 months and 1 year.
Best charcoal grill! May 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We LOVE this grill. The convenience of the ash catcher is the best detail!! Can never go wrong with a Weber!
Great but wish it was a little taller April 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We ordered the Weber grill after doing some research and are very pleased overall with the grill and the little table accessory. We are a fairly tall family and wish the grill was slightly taller, but beyond that we are very pleased. We would highly recommend this grill to others.
3RD WEBER March 18, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought my first Weber in the early 80s. I had that one for 15 years. When I moved in 1995 I bought the same one 21" kettle grill. I love the thing. In the past few years I've become know as the "KING" of the BBQ where I live. I cook for a lot more people than I used to, so I now own another 21" kettle grill. I use both at the same time. Some people think I'm nuts until they taste the food.
I cooked a few times on a gas grill, but that for lazy people that don't have any taste buds. This grill is the best of the best.
