Does the job--keeps my knees out of the dirt.... June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a hard time kneeling in the dirt for extended time periods. Hard to get old, I guess. My mom had one of the little garden stools years ago. Don't know what happened to it, so I got this one. It does keep my knees off out of the dirt, but I was disappointed in a couple of things.
It works great when weeding in grassy areas, but the tires just don't get traction on cement. I have a couple of flower beds in my front yard, where we have sidewalks. Can't use this thing there, as the cart just takes off from under me when it's on concrete. This happens when I lean forward. So this has become my backyard stool.
It's easy for your handtools to fall out of the storage compartment. It's shallow, so my trimmers won't stay in it when I pick up the stool. Also, the seat doesn't lift up to place utensils in the compartment, so you have to put them in from the side, and that's just a tad awkward.
On the positive side, the stool is lightweight--easy to move. It's like a lttle Tikes toy, cute.
garden seat June 5, 2008 I purchased this product for my mom to use when she gardens. It is a very sturdy stool, and doubles as a great push toy for my 2 year old! He seems to enjoy the stool much more than his grandma!
Step 2 Garden Hopper Mobile June 1, 2008 To all who love gardening, I appreciate my little stool w/wheels so much that I sent one to my Mom for Mother's Day. She has had two knee replacement surgerys and can not kneel. We both love the comfort and ease of gardening now. Thanks for a great product.
Makes gardening more comfy May 31, 2008 I bought this for my mom for mother's day. She gardens a lot and was glad to have this for back comfort. It's good quality and a good height. Only thing it's lacking is some kind of retractable handle so you could pull it behind you instead of lifting it each time.
