Great Gloves! May 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased these gloves to use with my Showtime Rotissiere. The gloves that came with the Showtime didn't last long and cracked on some of the fingers. The Steven Raichlen Insulated Food Gloves worked perfectly to remove meats from the rotissiere. Cost less too! Showtime wanted over $30 to replace with their gloves. Thanks Steven Raichlen!
Insulated Food Gloves May 15, 2008 I bought these for my son as he is the smoker master. We were at his house to pick up a smoked boston butt and I noticed he was struggling with handling hot food. I was online to order a couple charcoal starts and these came up so I ordered them... He absolutly loves them. Says he wishes he had them along time ago..
nice product for handling smoked meat April 11, 2008 I got these as I needed insulated gloves to be able to 'pull' smoked pork. They work pretty well. However, I will caution that the gloves can get slippery (as anything does) from the fat/grease when you are separating the pork from it. (e.g. 'pulling it') The two 'salad forks' method works well, too.
These gloves are handy to have to handle the meat regardless as they do a great job insulating from the heat and clean up nicely. A great addition to your tools for smoking.
does the job January 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
bought these for pulling pork bbq, and making tofu, which requires squeezing a cheesecloth bag with very hot soy pulp in it. The gloves protected my hands very well. recommended.
Not for the Grill October 20, 2007 2 out of 15 found this review helpful
These are not to be used on your grill (charcoal or gas)!
I returned them.
