More expensive, but a much better value than its competitors. I like the fact that it will work outside the Lower 48. You can disable the pointless daylight saving feature, set it to your own time zone, and it will keep time like it should, keeping itself set to the National Bureau of Standards radio signal. That's an option that seems to be not available in the cheaper products. It is easy to read from a distance and appears to be solidly built and well weather-proofed. It has been overlooking my pool deck for two months and still looks new. That's not long enough of course to justify a positive statement, but so far it looks like a best-buy.

I have had my clock for about two weeks now....and so far I really like it....I mounted it in the living room over the fireplace....on the brick....and it looks very nice there....it goes well with my stained wood trim in my house.....the directions that came with the clock was a little hard for me to understand so I just had to use some common sense...my clock faces north and the atomic clock radio signal from Colorado comes here to Okla City from the west....but the clock must be picking up the signal ok because it has been keeping perfect time....I like the thermometer too.....it's a nice looking clock....and so far I recommend it....
