I ordered this on a Friday sale, to see if any of my 5 housedogs would like it. They range from 12-25 pounds--two dachshunds, a Bichon Frise, a fox terrier, and a shihtsu. I replaced a pillow in the knee space under the desk with the computer--a popular spot. All five like the burrow bed, and do burrow. Naturally, the dachshunds burrow the deepest. This is the large size, and is not all that large. My size dogs enjoy it. If it comes on another Friday sale, I will definitely order another.
It is very well-made. One dachshund immediately chewed a hole in the fleece part--I expected that. There is no loose polyfil to leak out. The cushion in the bottom is contained in a liner, and there is no cushion in the hood, only the fleece cloth and the outside material. I haven't even had to take time to patch the hole yet. It is getting fulltime use.

... but, the top doesn't stay up and she always ends up sleeping ON TOP OF THE BED WITHOUT THE COVER. Had to stash one of her blankets inside the bed (in a U-shape), and that seems to work, but the flap stays open too far and the cold air accumulates in the back. Maybe this isn't the greatest bed for drafty residences.
It's a beautifully made bed -- the olive green material is so pretty (has a raised swirl design, very textured). I wasn't prepared for how attractive the material and cream colored faux lamb's wool would be.
The bed isn't overstuffed, so my dog can custom-make her own "spot" to her satisfaction. Also, this bed, excluding the pillow which is easy to remove, washes and machine drys extremely well. The bed holds its shape, and is very durable. Just wish the top were firmer and easier to keep up for borrowing during the cold winter months.

Awesome Bed January 9, 2008
My mini dachshund immediately crawled in this on her own and fell right to sleep. She absolutely LOVES it. We've gone through many beds over the past few years, but this one is simply the best.

I should have bought two. They both love to burrow so this was just perfect for them. Totally recommend this to anyone with cold natured pups!
