I had tried everything! May 19, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Although cost was never a real issue, I almost choked when I saw the price of Angel's Eyes. And the shock was compounded by knowing it wasn't a permanent solution but something my white minature poodle OLIVER would always have to take if I wanted bright, clean & clear eyes. I thought long and hard before buying that first tiny $32. bottle at the pet store. It only contained about 2 weeks of treatments, but none of the topical products had worked. Name it, I'd tried it.... I changed to a food without beets, cranberries, or blueberries. I only gave him bottled water as recommended by another poodle owner. I washed his face morning and night and kept applying products that promised to make his eyes diamond clear. The stain was so dark and permanent it certainly looked as if his eyes were bleeding down each side of his nose.
I can't say enough about this wonderful product and buy it in the largest possible size so I'm never without. Oliver is down to 3 times a week and it keeps that nasty red yeast away. It only took a few days to see the new growth around his eyes and by the end of the first week, I was able to carefully clip most of the stain away. It's been 2 months and Oliver's eyes sparkle. It's processed in a powdered liver base so there was very little problem getting him to accept it. I think I mixed a little grated cheese in the first week but he doesn't hesitate anymore, and he only eats dry food.
Great product and great company.
A life saver for blonde dogs May 15, 2008 I ordered a small bottle of this, just to see how it would work. Half way through the bottle I reordered the large size. I have 5 Havanese pups, 2 of which are blondes. Within a couple weeks the stains had faded to dark beige and now they are gone. I give them this for two weeks, pare down to every other day, then every 5 days, then off for two weeks and that seems to work fine. It seems it contains an antibiotic and I was hesitant to keep them on it, even at the intervals recommended on the bottle. But my blondes are gorgeous now and my son just ordered some for his Maltese pups and he can see a difference after just one week! LOVE IT!
HALF A BOTTLE !! May 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have just started to use this product but based on the reviews, I assume that it will work on my maltese. I am concerned that I did not get all of the product. The bottle was half full. Wondering if this is the norm?
Poodle Proud! May 13, 2008 My Apricot Poodle has suffered with oozing, itching, discharge that caused brown stains under her eyes and down her muzzle for so long. It took only a week or two with Angel Eyes to clear all of it. She still has a discharge, but it is clear and nonstaining, with no more itching. A great buy--everything it claims to be and more!
Stop the eye stains! May 12, 2008 Hello pet owners:
If your dog is succeptible to the redish brown fur stains from its eyes, this is the product you both have been looking for. It works almost immediately. Applied to the dog's food, the tasty powder does the job. Our Bischon Friese's fur is growing out and the incoming fur does not have the redish brown stain. It is only a matter of time until the fur with the stains grows enough to be groomed away and our dog Winston, will have that same white fur on his back as his face! A must for any dog with eye stain problems.
