Great for my hound's thick nails! November 4, 2008 I have a 7 year old basset hound who has some of the thickest nails I've ever seen. I have been trimming them about once a month since she was a puppy with typical pet trimmers. But after seeing an advertisement for the Peticure, I started researching for a better way. And I found it!! This tool is quiet and works fabulously! My dog was a little scared at first, but with just a few treats, I was dremmeling away on her. It's easy, fast, and affordable, so I highly recommend this for all pet owners who need a nail trimmer. Also, I have not had an issue with the battery at all, but I do charge it almost every time when I'm done.
Dremel tool works great November 2, 2008 Very happy with this product. Works great for tuning harmoniums! Just wish the on/off switch was a little easier to use....
Dremel October 28, 2008 I ordered this product for my son. It has a battery pack which was a surprise. I compared this Dremel to one found at my local home improvement store and this one was much better priced.
Love this! My dog thanks you! October 28, 2008 I have been using this on my dog's nails and am thrilled! My dog actually lets me use it on her and lays still on her back for her "pedicure". She hated her old clippers and it was a fight to clip her nails.
The dremel is fun to use so I have to stop myself from trimming her nails everyday (lol). I've been taking just a little off at a time but they are the shortest they have ever been because with the old nail clippers, I was always afraid of hitting the quick and didn't take too much off. Now I feel much for comfortable and because she doesn't hate it, I do it more often.
I highly recommend as a solution for trimming dogs nails. I would suggest doing a little research on how to use the dremel on dogs nails and how to slowly introduce the dog to the dremel before starting.
Lasts a year at best October 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the second Dremel I have purchased in the last 5 years. While I really like the tool to file down my dog's nails, they only last a year or two and then stop holding the attachments firmly. I'm sending my newest one in for repair after only one year of once a month use. Very disappointing.
