most useless I ever bought October 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this saw will take longer to cut a 2x4 then using a hand saw, just a total waste of money,if you are able to cut more then 5 2x4's on one charge consider yourself lucky
Handy little yard tool!! October 28, 2008 If you're looking for a light weight chain saw capable of cutting smaller trees then this is perfect. I was able to cut down both bushes and trees with ease. Trunks up to 6 inches are easily done- any more and it can get stuck in the wood. Easy to use. It would be nice if some chain oil came wiht it so you don't have to go get that first. Perfect for smaller cuts.
Handy and powerful October 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a handy (little, but powerful) chainsaw. Don't laugh, it's true. Great for carrying into the woods to make a quick job of small trees, cutting firewood, etc. Nice to not have to mess with gas, etc. You do have to add oil for the chain, but otherwise this is a snap to use!
Watch the chain oil...Gravity feed October 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It works fine, good scale. So, after unpacking, charging the battery, reading the manual, filling the chain oil reservoir; I made a couple of test cuts to be sure it it functioned OK. Fine. I left it on a table in the shop for the night. The next day I find that all of the chain oil had flowed out onto the table and run off onto the floor.
Store inverted if any oil is left...
Great product for the value October 1, 2008 I own a few B&D 18V cordless items and needed a chainsaw but would rarely use it so this would be a nice addition to my collection.
It cuts well using the 18V batteries on what I have tried so far. I cut a few large branches off my plum tree about 2" and it did it with no hesitation. I also cut out a bunch of roots from a large tree that was invading my yard and killing my grass. a few were about 3". I dug around them then used the chainsaw to cut them out. No problems.
It burns out the batteries pretty quick but since I have 8 of them it has been no problem.
