| Customer Reviews:
Great Blower/Very good vacuum November 7, 2008 The Toro Ultra is an outstanding blower: lots of power, easy to setup and use. The vacuum parts works great too - reduces a huge pile of leaves to a single garbage bag. If a corded device works for you, this is a great buy.
Very good. November 5, 2008 This is a terrific tool...the only complaint I have is that it does clog up when working with wet mulch and it is quite difficult to get at and clean out the clogged area.
Great product, great price November 4, 2008 Great product, worked as described and very much like how most reviews portray it. Blowing force is certainly a step below a back-pack gas-powered blower but should be totally enough for the average home-owner. It is very powerful.
Not loud, no need for ear plugs.
The vacuum ability is nothing special, but may be useful if you have small amount of leaves to pick up. But if you have a big pile its just faster to pick up the leaves with a rake and/or your hands. But still it worked nicely and it really ground up the leaves into small pieces. It does take about a minute to switch to vacuum mode. Its not something you want to keep switching back and forth, as its a totally different attachment.
Great weight distribution, easy to hold, easy to swing back and forth. Easy to operate. Good build quality.
This can't be beat for the price; the only reason to get a gas powered unit is if you really need to go more than 100ft, beyond an extension cord reach.
The best I've ever used November 4, 2008 I bought this about 2 years ago after a Black and Decker with a plastic impeller died. Not only did the impeller grind down to nothing, but the vac attachment had a hole in it. My Toro is still going strong. I keep trying to find quicker ways to pick up leaves and keep going back to this.
Like many leaf vacuums, it can struggle a little on wet leaves, but not enough to be a big problem. It just requires a quick cleanout of the impeller area occasionally.
Would certainly recommend to anyone.
Toro Review November 3, 2008 I have been very pleased. This works about as well as I expected. As long as the leaves are not still attached to the limb you are fine. I have a tremendous amount of leaves that fall from 3 large oak trees each year into my flower beds and this has been a great way to remove them without disturbing the pine straw. The only complaint I have is there is not a device to keep the power cord from coming unplugged when moving around. That is no biggie but my other blower I have is also made by Toro and they have a loop that allows you to push it throught that prevents disconnects. Overall, very pleased.
