I like this running shoe alot. Very comfortable. I noticed the improvement from my old shoes the first time running in them.
Three pairs for $100! October 15, 2008
Although this shoe was manufactured by Brooks a couple of years ago (I assume they are still selling old stock, not manufacturing new each year), my serious runner daughter (40-50 miles a week) liked them so well last year she wanted the same style again this year. I took advantage of a sale for about $45, and Amazon was also offering 20% off running shoes plus $20 off $100 worth of running shoe purchase. So, SCORE! Three pairs for about $100!!
It is better to rest shoes between runs, so since she runs every day, she can rotate them. Shoes last only about 500 miles.
What is odd is that the price went up again after I purchased them, from 45 to 69. What's up with that?
 Comfortable, stable shoe October 12, 2008
I have purchased several pairs of this shoe and continue to be very satisfied. It is an extremely comfortable shoe from day one and has good stability. In addition, it is quite durable and the heel does not wear down quckly like other shoes I have worn in the past. I run 5-12 miles a day and have been very satisfied with these. I also have a pair of the next generation GTS 8 which are pretty much the same but in different colors. You can usually get the GTS 7 at a lower price so I would go with those as I have not experience any big improvements with the GTS 8s.

Brooks is the best running shoe. I use these on trails and street. Not as stiff as the Addiction!

I have been buying this same (or a very similar) shoe for years. Wide toe box, good fitting heal. Decent cushioning. Always run a little further the first couple of times I put them on. Got a great deal on this pair because the color was an unpopular baby blue.
