One of the prettiest Barbies I've ever seen February 13, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ok, folks will cringe, but my six-year-old picked out this doll to actually play with, because she loved how pretty the Barbie is. Details you can't really see in the pictures: She's got red-painted fingernails and toe-nails, and is wearing pretty high-heeled strappy red sandals. She's also wearing earrings that match the "jewel" on the front of the dress. She comes with a stand. The dress is basically impossible to get off her, though, so if you are getting it for a kid to play with, make sure the kid doesn't expect to dress and undress her. My daughter is OK with that, as she likes her the way she is.
Beautiful Barbie January 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This Barbie is a beautiful doll. If you are collecting these for yourself or your child, I would not hesitate on this purchase. I am very pleased with this doll for my daughter's collection. It is a stunning Barbie.
Great Cause Doll January 8, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I would rate this doll a 5 based on her beauty and the fact that she is a charity item. I like it when Mattel uses the famous Barbie to put light on special causes. Barbie arrived quickly and safely. She was also at a very good price. This is one collector who is thanful to have this doll in her collection.
This doll became my friend's own "Mrs. North Carolina 2007" Barbie! January 3, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I saw this Barbie doll in a catalog and immediately came up with a great idea for a gift for one of my best friends, who's the reigning Mrs. North Carolina. When she won the pageant earlier this year, she looked EXACTLY LIKE THIS DOLL - same dress, same hair - so I made a "Mrs. North Carolina" sash and put it on the doll AND I cut the straps off (okay, her dress was strapless so it wasn't EXACTLY like this but close enough!) Voila! Her own personal Barbie doll! When she opened it, the look on her face was close to the look on her face when she won the pageant ... she LOVED IT!! It's now in a shadow box with her real sash, and the gift meant the world to her. On top of that, you can't beat the fact that it's the American Heart Association's official Barbie doll, so some of the proceeds go towards a great cause. Whem my four year old daughter watched her open it, she immediately wanted one, claiming how beauiful she was and how pretty her dress was ... so I may be in the market for a second. For anyone who loves Barbies, this is a GREAT doll!
