Great Toy December 30, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I don't believe I am writing this positive review but here it goes.... Let me start by saying I purchased this at full price, 24.99. My husband was making fun of me when he opened the box and saw how little there was to the game. This was marked down just before Christmas to 7.95! I was a little worried that it might be junk. BUT- my son LOVES this toy. He got tons of stuff for Christmas but this one seems to be his favorite. He wants to play it over and over and over again. I suppose I got my money out of it. Note: The blue guy knocks over the gray guy every time. The gray one is much easier knocked off.
grandma review December 28, 2007 I didn't know my Grandson wanted this for Christmas and it turned out he did show his mother this toy. He and his brother played and played with this all evening. It reminds me of the rock em sock em robots. It appears to be fairly sturdy as they are rough and it held up.
The sleeper hit of Christmas December 27, 2007 Santa brought this for my 8 year old son. He's had fun with them, but not as much fun as his 5 year old brother. Our little guy has played with these constantly -- even more than the toys he'd specifically asked for. In fact, everyone in our house (including our 10 year old daughter) has had more than a few turns playing this game. (Except we only get to be Optimus Prime -- the 5yo has a monopoly on Megatron). The assembly was simple, the concept easy to understand. I love that the whole game is contained in 2 pieces. One drawback is that it is difficult to knock the robots over - something my sons have remedied by calling out "freeze" every so often where they get an open shot. But regardless, the battle rages on in our house!
Excellent boy's Toy December 26, 2007 The assembly and playability of this toy is wonderful. My step nephew recieved this from us this year. This was the hit of the night. All other toys forgotten, he played with his brother and cousins most of the evening. The only complaint I heard even from the parents was that the kids got over excited and a bit loud but hey their kids!! The figures on here are very nicely detailed and look like metal instead of a heavy plastic. I would buy this again for other children in our family even mine.
