4 out of 5 stars Most games need this, some don't   January 19, 2007

Unless you're playing only games that use the Wii remote, you're going to need a nunchuk. It's quite ergonomic, feeling comfortable in either hand, not too large, not too small.

The motion-sensitivity of the nunchuk definitely adds new dimensions to gameplay, but I really wish the cable was longer, though Nintendo probably made it short on purpose to avoid potential choking hazards.

Some games only partially need the nunchuk (Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, for example, where only a portion of the Party Games require the nunchuk), but if you play a lot of Wii, get a nunchuk for each your remotes. It's a bummer when you have your friends over and want to play a game but don't have enough nunchuks for it.

4 out of 5 stars It's ok   January 16, 2007

You don't need the nunchuck for all the games but it's nice to have when you're playing running or other 2 handed games.

It's innovative though and that's a big plus.

4 out of 5 stars Taking on a different form of gaming   January 3, 2007

When I first began to use the Nunchuck I wondered what the heck is this all about. It is really a strange looking device that when connected to the Wiimote makes it a Nunchuck with less devasting consequences. Basically this controller takes the games to the 3-D level. Allowing you to control your character moving the analog stick. Although it is used in different ways for various games. What I really enjoy about the Nunchuck is that it adds more challenge. With many games I have noticed it creates more learning of the movements. As we slowly began to move out of our two dimensional game worlds into a trully three dimensional environment. Think of the Nunchuck as a connection of your body. In the game Rayman their are several parts where you are moving it up and down creating physical movement. It is hard to explain in writing. That is where actually physically doing it you begin to realize how much these games actually make sense now with your actual arm actions. In closing I would have to say the Nunchuck is not so much a necessity but a requirment for many games. If you ever plan on playing any multiplayer games this is obviously a must have.

4 out of 5 stars Key Wii Movement   December 30, 2006

With all the hype of the Nintendo Wii system, it is always essential for you to find a key sense of movement with its controller. Unfortunately it really isn't the only way to control on the Wii. The nunchuck controller is a key add-on for movement on analog control on games like The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess, Red Steel for the Nunchuck fighting action, and the high-flying football tossing when it comes to playing with the New York Giants on Madden '07. The downside is that I honestly don't know why it has to be a sepearate accessory to the standard Wii controller, instead of being a part of the full controller. It would've been a bit less expensive. I do like the key use on the Wii games with this though, it is a great buy for the Wii.
