It's only Knife at a Gun Fight June 14, 2008 I read all the reviews an was excited to get the product. I guess a zit has a life cycle...appears, gets red, gets puffy, then eventually dries out. I guess this typically takes a week. The Zeno speeds it through the process. But going after one zit at a time seemed kind of futile to me. Seems like money could be spent on a whole facial care and preventative line). If you have all over acne...orthotricyclene (sp?) is the only thing that ever worked for me. Seems like a lot of money when a dab of toothpaste will handle in an extra 2 days.
Not a miracle, but it helps June 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using the Zeno for a couple weeks now. It does not completely eliminate a pimple, even if applied at the first sign of one coming up. What is has done for me is bring the blemish up more quickly, decrease the time I have to deal with the embarrassment, and it keeps the problem from spreading to other pores nearby. That has made it worth the money for me.
No it's not a miracle cure and pimples won't disappear overnight. And you still have to deal with getting the head out of the pore. It's not substitute it for cleansing religiously. And it says in the literature it isn't for cystic acne. But if you get frequent non-cystic outbreaks like I do, no matter how well you cleanse, it is worth the cost.
Gets the job done April 30, 2008 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I was a little skeptical initially. To tell you the truth, I was nervous about the heat damaging my skin because it is sensitive. Zeno's heat is much lower than 130 degrees (130 degrees is the temperature at which skin burns). I worked up the courage to give it a try. I had a bump develop after getting my eyebrows waxed. (I think the oil they use to soothe the waxed area contributes to a breakout). After applying Zeno that evening, the bump was completely gone by the next morning. Later, I saw Zeno available for purchase in my dermatologists office.
If you have picked at a bump, it takes Zeno a bit longer to work. However, most everyone with acne knows that picking at pimples prolongs the healing process.
Important key: Don't pick at pimples, and use Zeno as soon as possible.
Quick tip: If your Zeno battery loses its charge, plug it in an outlet. It may appear that the battery isn't charging, but it is. Soon, you will see a blue flashing light indicating a charge is taking place. I did not know this and (mistakenly) thought the entire battery needed replacement.
pretty worthless to me April 21, 2008 I got this when it was new a couple years ago. Had no luck with this product and had to take it back. Maybe I don't have the 'right kind' of acne for it, if there IS such a thing. A side note: The cartidges have to be replaced and they are expensive. So not only is it cheaper to hit up my family practitioner for some Retin-A or Tazorac type product (even as much as that ordeal can cost!), but the other benefits of a topical cream are that they exfoliate the skin, not just decreasing acne but improving skin cell turnover. I am not in favor of promoting the health care industry in this country overall, but even over the counter stuff works better than this did for me. The zeno was better at making me feel gullible than getting rid of my breakouts. I would even try it again since it has been a few years, and if I like it better the next time I will update the review.
Wonderful little device April 13, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm perfectly aware that this device doesn't work for everyone. I am in my early twenties, and i have been getting moderate acne since i was 12 years old. I have tried literally every acne-prevention product and any kind of home remedy you can think of (at one point I even tried to use toothpaste to burn off the zits). But as the years went by, I just sort of accepted that acne was something I am destined to live with forever.
Well I saw the Zeno ad on the back of a magazine a few weeks ago, and bought one online. I've only had this device two days, and every zit I have is just about faded now. I already caught one trying to form, and prevented it. It's such a nice feeling to finally have a clear face after all the years of having those nasty little things on my face.

Either way I love it and I'm very happy with my results.
