Very nice towels! November 3, 2008 These towels are a great quality and are very soft. I was very pleased, especially for the price.
Great Towels at a Great Price November 3, 2008 I was a bit hesitant to order after reading the conflicting reviews - it appears that you either LOVE these or HATE these. In my case, it was LOVE. I must admit I didn't have a lot of expectations (they were only $20 for a 6-piece set after all!) but they're definitely doing the job and have held up through many washings now.
Disappointing! November 2, 2008 I bought these towels about the same time I bought some Pike Street Egyptian cotton sheets. The sheets were fabulous, but the towels are very disappointing. The first wash created loads of "hanging chads" on the towels. These towels are also probably the most least absorbent towels I have ever owned. They just spread the moisture around instead of wiping it off. I will buy Pike Street sheets in the future, but I will never buy any more of their towels. Because of the pulled threads on the towels, I can't even put them in the guest bathroom to just look nice--because they don't. I'm not sure how Pike Street can make such good sheets and such bad towels, but that is my experience with them.
GREAT TOWELS! November 2, 2008 I wish I had ordered more of these. They are great towels and wash cloths. I actually ordered one set for me and another to give as a wedding gift. What an excellent deal on this set!
Not sewn well! November 2, 2008 After the first wash, several towels had the thread at the seams come loose or break; very disappointing as the towels are very soft and would have purchased more in the future if better quality in the sewing department. The taupe color is not the usual color, however, the brick is very vibrant.
