this light is great...it is extremely bright and it is very good for reading while in bed or laying on the couch because you can place the the light on your shoulder and it stays there...it is the best book light that I have ever had.

This is the best reading light. I've tried quite a few. I didn't care for the type that attached to the books because they seem to weigh the book down. I was using a flashlight on my shoulder. This works so well because it is comfortable and sturdy. I can even put it on my nightstand and use it as a night light if I need to get up.

I really like this product,because you can but it different position and spots to help you read better with it lighting.

While I agree that this light does have a spotlight effect if you are reading a large book like I do, the effect would probably be barely noticable on a novel-sized page. It is very bright and makes my books really easy to read while keeping my wife in total darkness -- perfect! I will definitely be buying a couple more of these.
