I really like this..the light that emanates is a different..bluish color..but I really like it..especially when I'm watching tv in total darkness (like I love to)..and then a small beam of night peers from my shoulder aiming at my book pages. I think you'd be happy...

I normally only review books, but I wanted to post something about this reading light.
I read a lot at night, after my husband has gone to sleep, and have tried *all* kinds of reading lights. Usually they are not bright enough, or they are unwieldy. This one isn't perfect, but it's better than any other I have tried. It's weighted so that you can place it almost anywhere (I place it just above my chest on the blanket) , and shine the light anywhere you want on the page.
Definitely recommended.

The light is not on your normal book light; you can place it on your pillow, the light is adjustable and the price was very reasonable. It is great for reading paperbacks...all of my other book lights have been too heavy.

I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned the weird color light the LEDs put out. The light is not white, but an eerie sort of lavender color. And the light is so intense in the center that I have to keep whatever I'm reading in the edges to avoid hurting my eyes. It would make a better flashlight than reading light. I wish I'd resisted the tiny Gold Box discount. This is an impulse buy I regret.

After I bought one, I ended up ordering three more for the family for the occasional blackouts and to have for backups. They last much longer than any booklite I've ever used and I've used them all. For this money, buy them buy the dozen!
