Exceptional writing drives this great new show... if it lasts February 23, 2008

This is one one my favorite shows that is currently airing, and it took the strike to make me find it (very poorly promoted), the writing is top notch. It can be tough to make a non-campy fictional/scifi based show (although those do have their place) This however, has believable characters facing universal/believable struggles. The story delves into many themes that are worth discussing including consequences of personal actions, justice, family struggles/parenthood, purpose, etc while satisfying the adventure and scifi geek inside.
On a side note...
I hope NBC does not make the same mistake fox made with Firefly or Arrested Development. Hearing rumors of Journeyman's possible cancellation saddens me as there is a good thing going here. It is tough to make characters that work and people care about, hopefully that won't be put down by a poor executive decision. I would also hope they would take into account whole demographics such as myself that watches the shows online such as myself on Hulu, Amazon, Apple etc. and not increasingly outdated survey methods.

why why why does NBC have to get rid of one of the best shows on TV?
Yes it does remind me of Quantum Leap which I also love. I love the leaping back and forth in time. Very creative and intelligent.
Great acting done by the cast.
A must have when the season comes out on DVD

I really like this show and can't understand why it is not getting picked up for a second season all of the actors do excellent jobs the scenery is amazing it seems in an age of cookie cutter reality TV we need more good shows not less. I understand it is cheaper to shoot reality TV than shows with writers, actors and sets but come on how much can you really watch models and people makeing fools of them selves on national televison. It seems like I could put together an entire network with good shows that have been canceled in the last five years and I am pretty sure it would do better in the rateings than some of the networks running now.

I loved this series. I am a die hard stargate/atlantis/terminator:sarah chronicals/firefly/Lost/Smallville fan and this for some odd reason fit in with those. Not to say you will have huge starship battles, but the feel of the show really pulls you in and keeps you there. I remeber really thinking of the show the day after and not being able to wait for the next show to come on. Very incredible season, I can't wait for season 2!

Well, leave to NBC to cancel a show that people without Nelson Boxes like. There aren't many shows on TV today that I like but I did like this one. It was fresh and different than any other show on TV. But I just read that NBC canceled it because of low ratings. The show started strong but started dropping towards the end of November. So don't look for any more episodes. 13 were all that were made.
