mastery of style and substance January 10, 2008 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
Garr Reynolds new book Presentation Zen is a mastery of style and substance. Reynolds cuts through a lot of the silly noise about PowerPoint and gets right to how it can be used effectively, memorably and beautifully. Plus, Reynolds puts his own ego aside and puts a strong spotlight on other speaking masters like Seth Godin and Guy Kawasaki. If you've been putting off creating your next PowerPoint presentation, then put if off one more day and run to your nearest bookstore and buy Presentation Zen.

Imagine your audience saying "Thank you for keeping your message loud and clear- we finally get it!" This fabulous book shows you to keep your message strong and simple - tell a story - and stop wasting everyone's time. Grab a copy now and one for each of your clients - they'll thank you for it.
No more death by powerpoint! January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The evolving interconnectedness of our social and business communities relies heavily on our ability to communicate with one another. As some communication has become more ephemeral (email, IM), others have become slightly more formal (presentations), involving a larger and often diverse audience.
Garr Reynolds has produced and incredibly beautiful book highlighting the virtues of a zen aesthetic as it applies to communication, specifically presentations.
This book brings a sense of mindfulness to the "art" of presenting, which covers the multiple stages of presentation from idea to stage. Reading it once was a joy, but I'm sure that I'll be reaching for this book as a source of inspiration and reference when embarking on a presentation of any kind.
This book is a true gem, highly recommended.
Great Work! January 5, 2008 When it comes to business presentations, this book is the Bible! The illustrations are excellent, as is the content. It isn't as much about how to do as it is about how to think. Don't do another presentation until you read this book. It rocks!
A Must Read! January 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Presentation Zen is a must read for anyone who has ever seen "death by PowerPoint" or who has ever taken up anybody else's time with PowerPoint. I've watched presentations where I've said "Wow, I wish I could do that." Garr Reynolds gives you the tools to do just that - create great presentations. Ones that don't even look like PowerPoint!
If you wish to create an effective message and influence your audience, you should add Presentation Zen to your library.
