Great....up until the end! September 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I won't give away any spoilers here, but I will say that this was a book I could not put down. I read it in the morning, during lunch at work, and after work and got it done in two days. It started out GREAT with good character development and lots of interesting stories. I loved Nan, who owned the Beach House. The bummer was the ending....! The book could have gone one for another 100 pages to settle issues, but instead, it appeared that Jane Green was given a 1 day deadline to finish and wrapped things up way too fast.
Loved this book September 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is rare for me to give a book 5 stars but I really loved this book. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. I will agree with some the reviewers that at times it was hard to remember which character as which, but the story was great. It kept my interest until the very end with a few little twists. This was my first Jane Geren read and definitely not my last.

I loved this book. The author has found her voice and is able to create romance and mystery in the same book. It was a great fun summer read or winter. Loaded on Kindle nice; however there were gaps between the words.
Take me away! September 15, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This was the first time I have read one of Jane Green's books. I couldn't put it down. I was astonished at how some of the characters' life experiences and emotions parelleled mine. Somewhat predictable, but who doesn't like a happy ending. I look forward to getting a chance to read some of Jane's other books.
