Patrick Lawlor's award-winning voice lends drama and life to the powerful account April 11, 2007 29 out of 33 found this review helpful
If you only listen to one audio or have room for limited audio nonfiction in a given library collection, Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin's THREE CUPS OF TEA is perhaps the most important item of choice: it holds the key to real anti-terrorist activity - a real-world key tracing the author's decades-long odyssey to build schools in a region which encouraged the Taliban. Patrick Lawlor's award-winning voice lends drama and life to the powerful account.
Uplifting journal April 5, 2007 It is wonderful to see that one person ,determined and dedicated, can make a difference.

I was so impressed with the accomplishments of this young man and his philosophy of peace by education, that I chose it for our book club. They were so impressed that they voted to send it to our California legislators and the President. Not only is the message vitally important, but Greg Mortenson's harrowing adventures climbing K2 and later among mostly, but not always, friendly villagers keeps one riveted to each page. It is well written and highly recommended for all ages.
AMAZING MAN April 3, 2007 31 out of 33 found this review helpful
Great book. Picked up by pure luck and could not put it down. Mr Mortenson is my hero. If all of us took our part in making a small difference in this world, maybe one day this world would see peace on Earth! Everyone should read this book!
Great Book April 3, 2007 34 out of 37 found this review helpful
I loved this book. We read it for book group. So inspiring and well written. I whipped right through it. I loved how the author told the story. I read it at the same time as Looming Towers. Interesting to have the scholarly versus the personal view. I found it hopeful how much villages wanted to be educated and to pitch in and help with that process.
