Best of the worst November 2, 2008 Relatively inexpensive, fits moderately comfortably (6-10) and the noise cancelling feature seems to work OK. The on and off switch is terrible--it is very tight and located in a difficult to reach area.
Actually works!!! November 2, 2008 The Plantronics 510 bluetooth actually works!! I am very happy. This is the 6th or 7th one I have tried, the first one did work and was really tiny and pretty cool, but caused severe ear pain and quit working in 3 months. The others, another plantronic, several motorolas, and a blueant....not good. No one could hear me or the sound was so uncomfortable("are you in a wind tunnel??") they did not want to continue the conversation. This Plantronics 510 easily switches between between 2 cellphones, and I can be heard outdoors, in the car, while shopping. The buttons are easy to access, the charge lasts all day. It's pretty comfortable, I wish it were a little flexible for a better fit. It's pretty ugly but it works very well.
Great quality for price November 2, 2008 I am very pleased with this device. Not too much feedback on the other end and great for driving hands free. The only problem is the ear piece that fits into your ear falls out very easily so I ended up glueing mine, but since then it works well.
Great product November 1, 2008 I use this Bluetooth all of the time, and it has worked well. Long talk time between charging, good range, blue light indicated fully charged. Other nice features. Highly recommend.
Bluetooth that finally met my expectations! November 1, 2008 I have previously owned 3 other bluetooth headsets and until I received the Voyager 510, I had been disappointed in the technology. I own 2 Motorola headsets that didn't fit well and would garble my conversations. I constantly had to shut down the Motorola headsets so I could have distingishable business conversations. Last summer I bought a more expensive 700 series Plantronics headset at Best Buy. The voice quality was better than the Motorola sets, but the flimsy hardware made it difficult to keep the headset in place. After researching the 510 online and using the headset for a month, I have found the earpiece stays in place, it's solid and sturdy, and most importantly the quality of transmission and reception meets my expectations. I use the headset with a Blackberry and the sound quality is better than the phone itself. Finally my bluetooth search has ended and I am a satisfied Plantronics customer.
