Not perfect but better than the rest December 30, 2005

I spend a lot of time travelling on my job and have a need for a good headset. I found wired sets to confining and was forever shifting wires. I decided to go Bluetooth. First I tried a cheap knockoff that half worked. I tried a couple of Motorolas that looked great but had the back of my my ear on fire after 30 minutes. Next was a Sony that looked great and felt comfortable but everyone complained about how I sounded. I finally decided to give the Plantronics a try. I got a 320 to start and loved it but saw that the 510 had more features so I traded up.
This thing is awesome. It isn't as "showy" as some of the others which I like since I'm not trying to make a fashion statement but it feels good, works like a charm and most people I talk to can't tell I'm on a headset. Talk time is excellent and the mute and last number redial are just what I needed. The only thing that keeps this headset from being perfect is the atrocious power/mute button. It requires too much effort to press and is really small resulting in having to sometimes take the set off the ear to operate. Not an issue if you're just turning on and off but a real hassle when using the mute (as I do when on meetings). Overall a strong recommend.
Great sound, difficult buttons December 29, 2005

This headset works great with my Palm Trio 650. Setup was relatively easy with most of the difficulty from my Trio, not the headset. It has great sound. I have only two critisisms:
1. The power button is ridiculous. It is very small, you have to push very hard for several seconds to turn it off and on, and it has a little "point" on the middle that hurts my finger when I hold it down. Sometimes I have to push it against a hard surface to get it to work.
2. The earpiece fell out and I almost lost it. It happened on a holiday when I was visiting family. My father found it and I happened to ask him if he had found an earpiece to an electronic device and fortunately, he had found it kept it. When I got it back, I put a drop of superglue on it when I re-inserted it to keep it from falling out again. It didn't work very well without it while it was lost.
Overall, this thing works pretty well. I would buy it again.

Purchased as a gift for my wife. It works great with her Motorola RAZR V3, and we love it.
After reading reviews for all of the other Bluetooth headsets offered on Amazon, I went with this one. The unit fits on the ear very comfortably and is made of a soft flexible rubber material. Also, it comes with three different ear adapters to fit all ear types.
Most importantly: it sounds great and people that you call cannot tell that you are on a headset. We tried it ourselves, and I could not tell the difference between the headset or the phone when my wife called the home phone.
Love it. Will probably order one for me!

This is one amazing bluetooth I have used until now and I thank Plantronics for such redifining innovative product. However my concern is about the website having missed something on Product description page. It does not mention if this unit comes with an AC wall charger. I was confused about opening the product pack on seeing no separate packet for the AC charger in the shipment and with no mention on the product box for its contents as well. Although on contacting Amazon customer care I was assured for a full refund of my money because of the ambiguity in here. Another headset from Plantronics (M2500) is mentioned to have a charger included in the price. My request to update the Product information page with details pertaining to the included charger as well. Thanks in advance !
Best Headset I've Owned December 21, 2005

I've paired this unit with a Motorola V551 and it works wonderfully. The sound is great on both ends (my wife cannot tell I'm on a headset of any kind). The battery life is very good. The set fits my ear well and doesn't move once in position.
The controls are ok contrary to some of the other reviews here. The only tricky control is the power button which isn't difficult to access once you take the unit off of your ear.
