 Does not fit Sprint BB Pearl! February 7, 2008

I assumed all pearls were the same, but the case I received has cut outs that are completely off. In the case the right side button it totally covered and left one is 75% obscured. Its not even symtetric, I if take the phone out of the case and line up one set of buttons to the cut outs, the other side doesn't match. Since other say their's fits well I can only assume I have a different BB or maybe a defective case.

I would not recommend this case for the following reasons:
- The keys are covered, which is good for protection, but because there is a hole where the trackball is, it doesn't keep dust from getting in, and when it does, it STICKS. While it provides some protection, it also is hard to get used to pressing through plastic to type text messages.
- The trackball hole. This is just an invitation for dust and other particles to creep up under the plastic and get pushed against the screen, scratching it over time.
- Near impossible to remove. The plastic from the case sticks to the screen. The snugness is nice, but when I want to remove the case to clean the screen (lots of crud gets in the case) I have to literally yank from the end.
- The back cover for the camera lens. It is MUCH to big, and keeps you from taking snapshots quickly. It really only needed to be the size of the hole or a tad bigger, not a full extra layer on the back.

I really wanted a case to protect the screen and didn't want to use a stick-on protector because of past bad luck with them. The case fit perfectly and was very thin compared to other cases I looked at. I did remove the back clip (which was sewn-on leather, so I used a seam ripper) because of its bulkiness, because it covered the camera opening, and because I would not use the clip. The removal caused no damage to the case, and it looks great as ever. This product gets 5 stars because of the classiness of the soft black leather, the slimness of the case, and the protection that it provides, as well as the good price.
Lives up to expectations January 27, 2008
Won't protect from wet but does keep the unit very clean and readily accessible. I had no problems inserting the Blackberry Pearl into the case and it has already stood up to some fairly hard use with no signs of wear or damage. Well worth the price from my point of view. I have had some bad experiences with blackberry and cell phone cases in the past but would use and can recommend this system.

I was disappointed with this case, especially since it got so many positive reviews.
Two major problems:
1) The case that I received didn't fit perfectly. There was a little bit of slack in the clear vinyl front.
2) After a few weeks, the removable belt clip broke. There is a very frail piece of plastic that locks the belt clip in place to the case which broke without me yanking on it or anything like that.
