It is a good match for the Black Chocolate! June 14, 2008
This item actually looks good enough to have been 'original' accessory for the black Chocolate. The rubberized look and feel is great. Does what it says.
Usefull not perfect May 14, 2008
They are protective, but one corner did not fit exactly. The piece that connect the phone to the clip will come loose. I have just used some glue to help keep it in place. I would be again for the price.

I bought this one along with the clear case. I prefer this one (and it's actually on my phone right now). This case doesn't feel like cheap plastic, it feels like hard rubber. The clip is a little too easy to open (again, just like the other one) so I don't trust it clipped onto my belt out on horse trails.
The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is (again) because of the lack of screen protection. I thought maybe it would have some plastic or something to cover the screen (but not the touch part), but no. Completely empty. Definitely disappointed in that.
The company I ordered from was AccessoryOne and they were great. Fast shipping.

Nice product. I bought 2 of them and one was broken. Fragile shipping these. Once it is on the phone it is nice looking, functional and protective. I would recommend this product.

There are several things I like this cover for my LG 8550.
First, it fits extremely well. It snapped on and fits snugly; I don't think it will slip off easily. It exposes all the phone's controls and connectors - it even has an opening through which you can attach a wrist strap (not included). The feel of the material is very nice; it is a comfortable texture that does not feel cheap.
I got this case because I prefer to carry my phone in my pocket and I wanted a case that would protect the Chocolate's wheel control; this should work well for that. The detachable belt clip is a little lighter and cheaper than the cover iself, but will probably work out OK for my intended use of clipping the phone to my seatbelt. (I pull off the road to talk, though!) Otherwise, I carry my phone in my pocket. There is a connecting knob on the back of the case that protrudes a bit too much - it is there to connect the case to the belt clip.
Overall, I'm quite happy with this; it is better than anything Verizon stocks for this phone.
