Not Acceptable November 3, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
While all the bells and whistles incorporated into this device are commendable the bottom line is that when operated in a car at freeway speeds the voice quality is garbled and unacceptable both to me and to the person I am speaking to. Can I return this product?
Great Item October 31, 2008 This is an incredible product... Works well with alot of phones.. I have an apple I phone and the wife has a Nokia...
Voice commands are easy... doesn't take a Rocket scientist..
Instructions are easy... if you miss READ them...
Great here in California... Can't use a Cell Phone in an Auto...

Great sound!!!! October 29, 2008 This sounds great. I searched many website reviews and this one had the best reviews. The sound is crystal clear at all levels. Battery life is great. Very easy to sync bluetooth contacts and phone. Worth every penny!
A really good speaker-phone for your car October 28, 2008 I previously owned a Blue Ant Supertooth2 but found that its battery needed to be charged every few days and the Supertooth2 had to be re-synchronized with my phone every time I got back in the car if I took my phone with me. The Supertooth3 seems to have resolved those issues and offers a much improved sound quality as well.
Have had it for a month and still haven't had to recharge it. The Supertooth3 announces the caller's name based on the info from your phone's phone book. I've read how some owners could not get this feature to work. My advice: take a moment and READ the instructions. I have a very basic cell phone with almost no features, the "announcement" feature works fine if you properly input the phone records. I think the major improvement with the Supertooth3 is the integration of the microphone into the unit itself and not on the end of a extended or flip-out boom like the earlier versions or the current Supertooth Light. The theory is that if the microphone is too close to the speaker, you will get feedback on the other end. The problem is, more moving parts, more complexity, more chances of something breaking. That's all a non-factor with the new "3" unit.
It works as advertised, battery standby time is very good, sound is quite acceptable, synchronizes effortlessly with my cell phone, and the "female British Accent" selection on the unit's voice commands is a nice touch. There's a very small blue LED that blinks to let you know the unit's on. However, it's never obtrusive or distracting when driving at night. Blue Ant's products are generally very good and I've been impressed with the durability as well. It comes with a home charger, car charger, and two steel clips for attachment in two different cars. I've tried the Jabra SP700 as well but the Blue Ant has better quality sound.
I'm not sure if other people have had this issue but when I first set the system up, I had really low speaker output from the Supertooth3. I thought it was a problem with the Blue Ant's circuit. By accident, I later tried setting up the system in my car and not in my house, the result was the unit now worked perfectly. Maybe there's some sort of cordless phone interference, or wi-fi broadcast waves, or some other RFI factor in my apartment building that caused these synchronization problems between the Blue Ant and my cell phone.
Great Buy! October 26, 2008 I purchased this approximately a month and a half ago and it has been perfect. Everyone I talk to on it says I sound good and I can perfectly hear them. I honestly can't really have anything bad to say about this item. Its battery life is long where I do not have to charge it often. I have used the voice answering and that works great. It is worth it. Its loud and clear.
